The floor for this kitchen is particle board fixed to battens - spacers are used to get the kitchen floor perfectly level - so that there will be no gap between the unit's kickboard and the floor.

For floors that will be tiled, use plywood as, if laid on particle board, hairline cracks may appear where the boards join.

The unit cabinets are positioned and fixed together before being fixed to the walls.
